After testing various AI language models' JavaScript coding capabilities, I wanted to see how the new ChatGPT o1-Preview model would do. I just needed an idea - a problem to solve and a helpful solution beyond my own coding ability that I could try to build.

I put it to the back of my mind and went about my day. I was doing some sums, figuring out my personal finances and business budgets when it hit me! I had the calculator app open on my phone, a calculator up on my laptop, and it was when I went to open a second calculator on my laptop that I thought - 'I can't be the only person who does this!'

'...I can open as many calculators as I want on my laptop, but I can't keep track! I can't label them, can't label my inputs, can't keep them in order and can't organise them into labelled sheets'.

Well, after just a few short days of chatting with o1-Preview, explaining the different features I wanted, ironing out bugs... now you can! And here it is!

This new model takes more time to 'think' through a problem before offering a solution. It has time to correct its reasoning before responding and this seems to reduce 'hallucinations'. o1-Preview is easily the best AI model I've tried so far for JavaScript coding!
